Meticulous pick stitching on all outside seams and inside lining, reinforcing every edge with the precision and care of old-world tailoring traditions.
The signature barchetta pocket — a curved, boat-shaped breast pocket borrowed from Italian tailoring — lends each jacket a refined, distinctive character.
A cigar pocket, a zippered credit card pocket, a buttoned passport pocket, and two additional pockets — five in total, versus the industry standard of two.
Every button is secured with shank construction and wrapped in Ascolite thread, ensuring longevity and a clean, professional finish that stands the test of time.

Founded 1987
The Shirt Store, New York
Founded in 1987, The Shirt Store became a trailblazer in the men’s fashion landscape. Nestled in the heart of New York’s fashionable men’s retail district, the original store cultivated an ambiance reminiscent of small-town America — friendly, relaxed, and deeply personal — while serving a worldwide base of 50,000 customers.
The store’s label garnered design recognition globally, featured in prestigious publications and renowned for furnishing shirts to Broadway stars and entire production casts.

Just White Shirts
In the mid-1990s, three Canadian businessmen formed justwhiteshirts.com with a singular mission: to provide professionals with the opportunity to purchase high-quality, 100% cotton dress shirts, silk ties, and socks at honest prices — without the middleman markup.
Using the finest fabrics sourced from around the world, their dress shirts featured a generous cut and meticulous single-needle tailoring. Buttonholes were stitched 144 times to ensure non-ravel wear. Collars were designed with removable stays and the finest linings, producing an immaculate finish that appeared soft and crisp after each wash.
What began with the best-selling Chairman’s Choice white shirt grew into a global online retail operation spanning 10 stores across the USA and Canada, and platforms including Amazon and Etsy.

The harmonious merger of The Shirt Store and Just White Shirts gave rise to JWS Bespoke — a brand that carries the combined heritage of both legacies forward into a new era of bespoke tailoring.
Today, JWS Bespoke operates from two locations in the Greater Toronto Area, offering custom-made suits, shirts, and accessories crafted to individual measurements. The brand is the sole bespoke fabric maker in North America, offering clients the extraordinary opportunity to design their own fabric from scratch — a one-of-a-kind creation that belongs to no one else.
